Many brands make Apples, but some brands do it better than others.Apple is right now my favorite flavor, so naturally I want to try the best apples out there. What are they? Many blend Anise with Apple to enhance the Appleosity--which I think is a delicious idea. I have tried the AF Apples, and I like them very much:NO TO LOW ANISE:AF Golden Esk. AppleAF ApplePROMINENT ANISE:AF Bahraini Apple EXTREME ANISE:AF Double AppleProbably my favorite flavor to date is the AF Bahraini Apple. Lots of luscious apple and a nice juicy Anise kick. Very rich and delicious. I would love to hear about what others love about Apple and what brands and formulas they think are the best.Let battle Apple begin! evilded777 Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 hmmm....The only apple I would feel safe in commenting on right now is:Romman Apple CinnamonNot your standard apple shisha; since I hate anise, you'd think I would be able to detect it anywhere (but I don't, even when other says such and such a brand has a lot of anise flavor) -- so I can't say if there is any in here. But it smells like a big bowl full of cinnamon apples, and it smokes the same. Its scrumptious.I think Romman has changed. My first hookah setup, I got from HS about two years ago now, so I got a bunch of Romman shisha with it. I thought it was pretty good then. Now, I think its much better. ColibriDon Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 Well my favorite apple flavor would have to be Nakhla Double Apple. Golden AF Bahraini Apple is excellent, a real winner. Then I would go with Golden AF Esk Apple, followed by Nakhla Mizo Apple. I am not a big AF DA fan, I was recently given a 250g tub of it and I am going to try it again to see what happens. I used to be a huge fan of Nakhla Double Apple - it was the first shisha I ever tried. I loved the stuff until all the people on these boards started complaining about not liking the anise flavor...now all I can taste is anise!!! Damn you all. It def has anise to it but I think it's very well balanced with the apple so that instead of a slap in the face it's more smoothly integrated into the flavor. However, have any Nakhla DA folks tried Nakhla Bahraini Apple? I wonder if it would lean a bit more appley than DA? 4d1ct3d Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 I forgot to mention that my favorite anised-apple flavor is AF's Golden Barahini Apple. Not as good in looks as Esk Apple, but pretty delicious.Very smooth flavor with the swetness of a red apple and a touch of anise. Just perfect balanced.
